This formula uses powdered coix seed, sometimes known as Chinese barley; which has a well-established reputation as a dermatology herb, and is used to control puffiness and redness. Combined with calming amber, tonifying rice, and cooling bamboo, it maintains the skin’s balance as it gently exfoliates.

Natural and comfortingly sweet-smelling. A little pricy for what it is, but then again, I trust the quality of this brand so it is probably worth it.

Very interesting. Really like this!

Beautiful smell, and not harsh at all when mixed with the cleanser. It says to use twice a week, but I use every day without problem, although I have pretty sturdy, normal skin.

I love the versatility of these grains – you can use a little or a lot, every day or once a week (although its recommended to use 1-2 times a week). And they smell oddly comforting and pleasant – earthy and sweet. You have to make sure you don’t get any water in the bottle though, or they will clump together. A definite 5 stars!

I love these grains mixed with the cleanser. My face just tingles afterward, and it looks so bright and fresh for days – until the next time I use them in fact!

I am in love with this simple and ingenious exfoliator. You are only suposed to use it a couple times a week, max; but that is easy to do as it is just a fine-grained powder that you mix with cleanser for a daily face washing. Instant glow!!

It’s the time of the year my skin needs all the help it can get with dryness/flakiness. These sweet-smelling grains do a great job of keeping my face and hands exfoliated for a perfect glow! I mix them with the cleanser, which is how they are meant to be used, maybe 3 times/week and I don’t have to deal with that seasonal ‘transition’ my skin used to go through in the fall. So amazing, for something so simple.

I mix this with the cleanser, as suggested. Usually I do a quick exfoliation once or twice a week with results that have been so good it surprised me! My skin is noticeably smoother and more glowing. I didn’t realize how much of a difference a thing like exfoliation could make but I am giving Qi Formularie full credit for great advice and a great products!
